The papers of this book and it's companion volume 4 were contributed by experts from around the globe. They were received by late 2010, and after review and editing by T M (Mike) Porter, were officially launched by PGC Publishing on July 1, 2011.

Together, they comprise a 26 paper, 600 page, two volume, soft cover and e-book set, with more than 100 colour images, that detail advances in the understanding of IOCG deposits, complementing volumes 1 & 2.   Collectively, the four volumes represent one of the few comprehensive texts available on the important Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) family of deposits.
