Banded adularia-bearing low sulphidation mineralogy scale with 5 g/t Au in geothermal power station pipes carrying geothermal steam to the turbines. The temperature and pressure of deposition may be readily measured along with the composition of the fluids responsible for deposition, providing an insight into the occurrence of this type of mineralisation.
